SBI Clerk Age Limit
As per the SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2026, the minimum age of the candidate should be 20 years and the maximum age should not exceed 28 years. The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1998 and not later than 01.04.2006 (both dates inclusive).

SBI Clerk Age Limit for OBC
SBI Clerk age limit for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates is 20 to 31 years. They are eligible for 3 years relaxation over the general upper age limit of 28 years. The OBC certificate must clearly mention “Non-Creamy Layer”.

SBI Clerk Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Graduation degree in any discipline from a University recognised by the Government of India. The candidate must indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online. Computer literacy is mandatory.
The candidate should have a Certificate / Diploma / Degree in computer operations / Language or should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School / College / Institute. Proficiency in the official language of the State/UT for which the candidate is applying is preferable.
SBI Clerk Nationality / Citizenship
A candidate must be either:
1. A Citizen of India, or
2. A subject of Nepal, or
3. A subject of Bhutan, or
4. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories 2, 3, 4 and 5 shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
SBI Clerk Work Experience and Exam Language

No prior work experience is required to apply for SBI Clerk 2026. Fresh graduates as well as experienced candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply.

The SBI Clerk examination is conducted bilingually (English & Hindi) except for the English Language paper. Candidates can choose the medium of the test while filling the online application form.
